Hurricane Help Opportunities

Many are asking how to help the folks in South Texas as they begin to put lives together after Hurricane Harvey. There are many opportunities to volunteer at the shelters in Fort Worth and Dallas. You can help sort food at the Tarrant Area Food Bank warehouse -- food that will go to south Texas. There are several locations accepting donations of cleaning kits and buckets and underwear, socks and basics. We will take a second offering on September 3 and send it to the UCC Disaster relief services. What an exciting year for Embrace UCC

The dream of having our own worship space has become a reality. Taking on the monthly rent, utilities, internet, extra insurance is a big step of faith for our community. We got possession June 21 and thanks to teachers on summer break becoming busy bee workers, the next 10 days were filled with carpet cleaning, windows and walls scrubbed down, painting the lobby, kitchen and restrooms and lots of other repairs. We shopped for bargain furnishings and within a couple weeks - we are moved in and feeling like this has been our home forever.
